Ukrainian military analyst Petr Chernik said that the conflict in Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) is the epicenter of the conflict, and if the city is destroyed, the military-political leadership will decide to withdraw. The Ukrainian source reported this to the Military Media Center.
He noted that it would be possible to prevent a tragedy if the decision was made to “operately withdraw” the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
