The second visit of General Alexander Syrsky, commander of the eastern group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to Artemovsk (Ukrainian name Bakhmut), speaks of a difficult situation in hostilities, writes New York Times.
According to the newspaper, Ukrainian generals say they have pushed back some Russian troops, thereby reducing the threat of artillery fire on the main road from the southwest to southwest of the city.
The newspaper added that they wanted to stay in the city as long as possible, even if they weren’t ultimately able to hold the city.

According to him, it was part of a unit deployed “110 days and nights” in the Artyomovsky direction, after which it was transferred to another direction. For a report to the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the implementation of both orders is constantly monitored.
