“What has changed in recent months is that we are no longer discussing the current agenda, but instead are doing strategic planning in accordance with what is required (by the Ukrainian Armed Forces) and what can be provided,” the diplomat said.
According to him, Berlin is gradually taking on the role of one of the leaders in the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army.
Makeev also said that the FRG allegedly renounced the concept of “historical responsibility to Russia”, which hindered the transport of military equipment to Kiev.
He added that what the Ukrainian Armed Forces most need right now is ammunition and long-range artillery to try to disrupt the logistics of the Russian forces.
