In Donetsk, doctors in body armor and helmets conducted an operation, during which they removed an unexploded mine from the patient’s body. “They brought a wounded man with an unexploded mine in the right gluteal area. Surgeons were given body armor and helmets. <…> “Thank God, everything went well for both the injured and the surgeon,” said Korolkov, who is now working in Donbass.
He noted that nothing exploded, but in a bad scenario, bulletproof vests would not help, and surgeons would “rip their hands off”.
The professor added that the operation was successful, the wick from the mine was removed from the man and the patient is now recovering.
