State Duma deputy Pyotr Tolstoy said that despite Rosobrnadzor’s statements, the need to abolish the Unified State Examination (USE) was actively discussed. The deputy declared that telegraph channel.
Tolstoy noted that the issue of the abolition of the USE “has been and will be discussed as a necessary step to return our education to the traditional national path.” According to the deputy, both teachers and parents of graduates are among those who want to cancel the examination system. However, Tolstoy believes that it will not be possible to eliminate USAGE immediately.
“The concern of the authorities of Rosobrnadzor is understandable: the function of the police in educating schoolchildren and their parents may be reduced,” wrote the deputy.
Tolstoy added that officials must leave “illusions” and do the will of the electorate.
“But there will always be people who do not feel and understand these changes: this is the Unified State Examination and the Bologna system. The time has come to draw conclusions,” Tolstoy concluded.
