Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Ambrazevich believes that the continued militarization of Ukraine risks leading to a direct conflict between nuclear-armed countries. Ambrazevich shared this view at the Disarmament Conference in Geneva, reports DEA News.
“The militarization of Ukraine with increasingly modern and long-range weapons increases the risk of attracting new states to the conflict and may lead to a direct confrontation of states with nuclear weapons,” he said.
At the same time, Ambrazevich pointed out that it would be impossible for Minsk to eliminate security threats, resolve the accumulated contradictions, reveal the winner on the battlefield in the classical sense of traditional wars.
“There will be no right side to the general catastrophe,” the diplomat summed up.
