The Heinz food company contacted Elvis François, the rescuer who had survived almost a month in the Caribbean with ketchup and bouillon cubes, and offered to buy him a new sailboat. It has been reported Guard.

Recall that in December a strong storm took François in a small sailboat to the Caribbean Sea and tore the ship from the port the man was repairing. François said that he was not a sailor by profession, therefore he could not manage a sailboat independently and 24 days on the high seas.

The materials found on the ship helped him survive. However, instead of dry rations or other products, only garlic powder, bouillon cubes and ketchup were found on the sailboat.

François threw his sailboat into the sea after being picked up by a container ship. When the Heinz food company realized that he had survived by taking three “doses” of ketchup a day, the company tried to track him down and give him a new boat. He is now dealing with logistics and the purchase of a new naval vessel for the rescued man.

A fisherman from Brazil survived two days in the open oceanhold on to the buoy.
