British sailor Sam Hammond, stationed at the Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall, is trying to break the Guinness World Record by running a marathon with a 26-pound refrigerator on his back. Reported by Force News.

According to the publication, he would need to run the London Marathon in under 5 hours 49 minutes 37 seconds and the Brighton Half Marathon in under 2 hours 45 minutes and 8 seconds to set a new record.

It was recorded that Hammond beat the half marathon in Brighton faster than the record in 2 hours 4 minutes 13 seconds, and continued to run the marathon in London.

“I wanted to do something big, silly, and stand out, so I thought of a fridge. It’s a challenge, but it gets your attention,” Hammond said when asked why he was running around with the fridge.

The corporal transfers the proceeds from the races to the charity of the military SSAFA.

His colleague, Scott Caceres, claims that in Ukraine the American was provided with “poor quality medical care” so he should return home.

It is alleged that Roman specifically resigned from the US Marine Corps to go to Ukraine “voluntarily as a military doctor”.
