Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, said during a briefing that Russian troops destroyed about 350 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk direction last day.

“About 350 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, one D-20 howitzer and two D-30 howitzers were destroyed,” the defense ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that on the night of February 28, the Ukrainian army assumed An attempt to use drones to attack civilian infrastructure in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea. According to the agency, Ukrainian drones were shot down by electronic warfare units.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR).
