A group of gunmen opened fire on an Israeli vehicle on Highway 90 near the city of Jericho. One civilian was injured and later died of his injuries.
Then the gunmen continued to move and opened fire again.
“No casualties were reported,” the IDF press service said.
After the clash, the perpetrators set their cars on fire, and the Israeli police, who came to the scene, opened fire on the suspects. The terrorists, who opened fire in the direction of the security forces, managed to escape from the scene.
They are wanted, barriers and barricades have been set up on the roads.
This is the second such attack in one day. The day before, an Israeli car was attacked on a highway near Huwara in the West Bank, killing two Israeli teenagers living in a nearby Jewish settlement.
The perpetrators also managed to escape.
