Unnamed terrorists threatened to blow up 12 schools in the unrecognized Republic of Transnistria Moldova. It has been reported telegraph channel Press center of the PMR Ministry of the Interior.
According to the report, on holidays and weekends from February 23-25, 12 educational institutions in Pridnestrovie, by email, six in Tiraspol, three in Kamensky district, Dnestrovsk and Bendery and one in Rybnitsa region.
PMR Interior Ministry announced that experts examined each building and its surroundings, but no explosives were found. Police are now looking for the suspects. According to Article 205 of the PMR Penal Code, “The knowingly false reporting of a terrorist act” carries the perpetrators to face up to five years in prison.
In April 2022, near the building of the Ministry of State Security of Transnistria in Tiraspol dead a series of explosions. The Transnistrian Ministry of the Interior announced that several shots were fired at the department building from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.
Andrey Safonov, a member of the Transnistrian Supreme Council, later attributed the bombing to a series of anonymous reports on massive mining of schools, medical facilities, shopping centers and other facilities in Transnistria in March.
