Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk said that Jerusalem had promised to help Ukraine set up an early warning system for a missile attack within four months, but Kiev was not satisfied with these terms. The diplomat’s remarks were reported by the Times of Israel.
According to Korniychuk, the issue of installing an anti-missile system has been discussed for six months, but Israel still has not fulfilled its promise.
It is stated that the pilot version of the system will cover the Kiev region at best.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in January that the country is considering supplying Ukraine with an Iron Dome missile defense system. At the same time, Israel has so far refrained from supplying weapons to Ukraine.
Former Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen declarationHe said he would help his country develop an intelligent missile attack early warning system on Ukraine. The diplomat made this statement after a meeting in Kiev with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitry Kuleba. Cohen noted that Israel stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and remains committed to the “sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
The head of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said that Jerusalem will guarantee a loan of up to $ 200 million to Ukraine for the implementation of projects in the field of health and civil infrastructure.
