German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said he plans to sign a contract within a month to supply German troops with new self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) to replace those sent to Kiev. “If all goes well, new howitzer contracts will be signed by the end of next month,” Pistorius said.
It was noted that the German minister did not specify the number of weapons in question. At the same time, he advocated increasing the defense budget, stating that this should go beyond the $100 billion special funding allocated to the German armed forces.
