A criminal case was opened against a person who found the bank card of a pensioner in Yekaterinburg and made purchases in the amount of 7 thousand rubles. informs City department for media relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

A 66-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg contacted the police. The pensioner said that he lost his bank card, after which more than 7 thousand rubles were withdrawn from his account. The man found out that he was shopping in a store, but it had nothing to do with it.

Law enforcement found that a 35-year-old local resident previously convicted of drug possession was using a debit card. He confessed to the crime. A criminal case was brought against the man under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft from a bank account”. He faces up to six years in prison.

Previously, in Kamchatka, young people were brutally beaten and they robbed a pensioner.
