Due to the economic crisis in Pakistan, there is not enough food in the military canteens. This was reported by the Indian edition of the Mint, citing the Pakistani army’s correspondence with the command.
According to the publication, “field commanders” wrote letters to “the ship’s commanding general’s office”, emphasizing cuts in the supply of food to soldiers “in all army canteens”.
Food supply and logistics issues were also discussed in the meeting of the Chief of the Logistics Staff and the General Director of Military Operations with the Chief of General Staff of Pakistan, General Asim Munir.
It was noted that due to the food crisis, the Pakistani army may suspend operations against militants in border regions, including Tehreek-e-Taliban (the banned organization in Russia) Pakistan (TTP).
