Eyewitnesses said that before he was shot, he stood in the middle of the street, turned on the music column and told them to flee when the National Guard approached him.
The investigation revealed that Khachikyan shared the views of the Artpodgotovka extremist group (the organization is banned in Russia).
The accused partially accepted his guilt and did not object to the result. Khachikyan was brought to the courthouse in a medical suit.
