British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace visited a training ground in southwestern England where the Ukrainian army is being trained to control British Challenger 2 tanks. ASD News.
According to the publication, the training has been going on for “several weeks” and “experienced Ukrainian soldiers” are learning to drive tanks.
Wallace said he was “very emboldened” by the process of educating Ukrainians.
“It is very inspiring to come and see how Ukrainian soldiers are training on the British Challenger 2 tanks. “Their resilience and determination to succeed in the liberation of their country is a strong sign for Russia,” he said.
He also promised to “provide the capabilities needed to support Ukraine as long as it needs it”.
