LPR Human Rights Commissioner Viktoria Serdyukova said that some soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) held captive on the territory of the LPR refused to be included in the exchange lists. TASS.
According to him, representatives of the office of the LPR Ombudsman visited one of the shelters for Ukrainian military personnel located on the territory of the republic, in which there were more than 500 people. There, the staff checked the conditions of detention.
“Some of the Ukrainian soldiers turned to us with a statement that they refused to include them on the exchange list with the Ukrainian state, expressing their desire to remain in the LPR,” Serdyukova said.
He also said that the ombudsman’s office determined the fate of nine more soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose relatives returned to the office.
Earlier, Serdyukova said that the LPR had 12 soldiers from the second corps. will return from Ukrainian captivity as a result of the exchange.
