The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested a blogger accused of treason, who has been hiding for six months on the territory of the Holy Annunciation Monastery of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). Information about this appeared on the Telegram channel of the department.

According to the SBU, in August 2022, a pro-Kremlin blogger accused of treason was detained on the territory of the monastery.

“In August last year, he was informed without a doubt in accordance with Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“treason”). At the same time, the attacker fled and tried to hide from justice on the territory of the Holy Annunciation Monastery of the UOC.”

The Ukrainian edition “Strana.ua” reported that we are talking about Dmitry Skvortsov. He was engaged in the preparation and publication of custom-made materials defaming the Ukrainian authorities.
