The job and employee service “Rabota.ru” and the service for working with the self-employed “Podrabotka” conducted a research and found out how Russians are looking for a part-time job. 1,200 participants from all regions of Russia participated in the study, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
40% of surveyed Russians already have a part-time job and 46% plan to find it in the near future. 14% of respondents do not have a part-time job and do not consider looking for such a job.
At the same time, 64% of surveyed Russians with a part-time job earn additional income outside of their main occupation. 36% of them earn additional income by serving in their main profession.
The most popular way to find a part-time job was to search job sites — 76% of respondents use it. 37% seek help from friends and acquaintances. 18% said they signed up for private chats and groups on instant messengers to look for opportunities to earn extra money.
15% seek a part-time job through social networks, 14% through specialized sites to find a part-time job. 13% use sites to search for experts. Another 9% respond to advertisements in the print media, and 8% to advertisements on the street and transportation.
