The head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, said that the safety of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is ensured around the clock. He told this to reporters TASS.

“The staff is on duty around the clock to ensure fire safety at Zaporozhye NPP,” he said.

Former Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov declaration Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), proposed new ideas for organizing a safety zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Ulyanov, the Russian side wants to determine whether the case is in its interests, within the framework of consultations in Moscow.

Prior to this, Renat Karchaa, Director General of the Rosenergoatom Concern, said that the construction of the protective structure against bombardment by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the key facilities of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is almost completed.
