First batch of Ukrainian army completes US training at a training ground in Germany

The first group of Ukrainian soldiers completed a refresher course conducted by American military instructors at the Grafenwehr training ground in Germany. This was stated by Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder. Associated press (AP).

According to Ryder, the group consists of 635 Ukrainian soldiers who arrived at the base on January 15 and took an intensive course in the use of Bradley combat vehicles and the M109 Paladins self-propelled howitzer.

The AP stressed that the Pentagon’s skills acquired by the Ukrainian army “will be decisive in the spring offensive against Russia”.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who visited the base, received information about the preparation process of the Ukrainian army.

According to Ryder, about 1,600 more Ukrainians are preparing for training at the Grafenwer training ground – 710 of them on Bradley and M109 Paladins, and 890 on Stryker armored personnel carriers.

Maria Zakharova, formerly the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry accused The United States and its NATO allies are cowardly because they are unwilling to admit their involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
