The computer was called the “Condor cluster,” according to the publication, and is used for research in the field of visual object recognition, satellite image processing, and artificial intelligence for current and future Air Force projects.

The computer has a speed of 500 teraflops and can analyze ultra-high resolution images at a rate of several billion pixels per minute. At the same time, the total cost of the project was only $1 million, and the computer consumes 90% less energy than any alternative.

It is stated that the machine is based on the Linux operating system and set-top boxes cannot be replaced with new ones, as Sony has released a firmware update that prevents third-party operating systems from being installed on the console.
