Rogov warns Kiev that closing the Kakhovka reservoir will lead to disaster

Volodymyr Rogov, head of the movement “We stand with Russia”, asked the Ukrainian authorities to unblock the water supply to the Kakhovka reservoir. DEA News.

“The Kiev regime continues to play dangerous games around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and now blocks the supply of water from hydroelectric power stations located upstream, including the Dnieper, Srednedneprovsk, Kaniv and Kiev,” said Rogov.

According to him, at least four hydroelectric power stations are currently not receiving water. Rogov appealed to President Volodymyr Zelensky to “stop this madness and restore the water balance of the reservoir.”

He also noted that the international community is not trying to interfere in Kiev’s actions. Rogov pointed out that if the decrease in water levels continues, it could lead to an environmental disaster and threaten the safety of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

The Kakhovka Reservoir is located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions under Kiev’s control. On its left bank is the city of Energodar and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
