“There is no longer any question of giving up neutrality. Because neutrality is written in the Moldovan Constitution. “We need to strengthen our defense capabilities, but we also need to take into account the views of the citizens,” he said. He added that the polls show that the majority of the country’s citizens still believe that neutrality should be maintained.
Sandu noted that questions have come to the fore whether Chisinau can protect itself and provide peace and tranquility.
“This is very important in the current situation,” said the President.
Commenting on rumors that he will run for the presidency of Romania, he stressed that he has not applied for any position in this country.
Sandu also stated about the absence of political instability in the country. As the President of Moldova pointed out, there is currently no political crisis within the republican leadership, despite the situation around the Cabinet. He also emphasized that you should not be afraid of this issue.
