President Duda: Poland proposes to create arms depots in NATO’s eastern flank

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that after meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, the country offered to establish NATO arms depots in the eastern flank of the alliance. His speech was published Poland TV.

“We would like to see as many North Atlantic Alliance weapons depots as possible be created on NATO’s eastern flank so that weapons can be stored there,” the Polish leader said.

For him, it is important that the weapons are available for use by the North Atlantic Alliance forces stationed in this region. He added that if the infrastructure is already ready, the alliance forces can be deployed much faster if necessary.
