Britain will hold a minute’s silence
Britain will hold a minute’s silence at 11:00 GMT on the 24th to commemorate the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the British government said on Tuesday.
Encouraging people and organizations from all over the country to participate, the Administrator added that this moment of reflection will allow the British people to pay tribute to the Ukrainian people and show the United Kingdom’s solidarity with Ukraine.
Since the conflict began, thousands of Ukrainians have died defending their country, millions more have been forced to flee their homes, with 114,400 seeking refuge in the UK.
“As we approach the anniversary of Russia’s heinous and deplorable invasion of Ukraine, we as a nation appreciate the incredible courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people,” British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a note.
