Schools on the islands of Iturup and Paramushir have switched to distance learning due to bad weather. It has been reported DEA News Regarding the Ministry of Education of the Sakhalin Region.

“Due to weather conditions, Severo-Kurilsk school Kurilsk and Reidovo schools have been transferred to distance education,” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the Regional Ministry of Emergencies, snowstorms and storm winds are expected on February 15 in the North Kuril, Kuril and South Kuril regions.
