“Hair density and density depend, first of all, on the genetic predisposition and age of the person. These factors cannot be affected by cosmetics and various drugs, but can be affected by a balanced diet.

According to him, the main foods that promote hair growth and reduce hair loss are fatty fish rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, such as salmon, mackerel and herring.

“Research has shown that these micronutrients have a beneficial effect on the condition of the hair and in some cases reduce hair loss,” said the doctor.
Another good hair product is avocado. It is a rich source of healthy fatty acids, the deficiency of which can cause hair loss. In addition, avocado contains vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects not only the hair but also the scalp.

Avocados can fight oxidative stress. This prevents skin damage that can lead to a reduction in the number of hair follicles.

He added that egg is also beneficial for hair growth due to its high protein content. They are present, involved in the production of hair protein – keratin.

“Biotin is found in many hair growth supplements. In addition, eggs are rich in selenium, zinc and other trace elements useful for hair, ”said the dermatologist.

Spinach is also good for hair and scalp. Vitamin A in its composition is responsible for the production of sebum, which moisturizes the scalp and, as a result, protects the hair. Spinach is also rich in iron, folic acid and vitamin C, the deficiency of which causes hair loss.

“Almonds, cashews, walnuts are another source of healthy fats, vitamins B and E, and zinc. The use of hazelnuts positively affects the condition of not only the hair, but also the body as a whole. Flax, sunflower and chia seeds are also known for their low calorie content as well as high nutritional content. They contain beneficial microelements such as zinc, selenium, vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, which are necessary for hair growth,” concluded expert Saperova.
