A petition to rename Russia to Muscovy, posted on the website of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, received the necessary votes for its official consideration.
The relevant document was registered at the end of November 2022. The authors of the initiative are in favor of replacing the names “Russia” and “Russian Federation” with “Muscovy” and “Moscow Federation”, and all its derivatives with variations of the word “Muscovy”.
According to the office’s website, the petition received the 25,000 votes needed for consideration by the Ukrainian leader on February 14.
