The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired 146 mines and shells at settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) last day. This was reported by the representative office of the DPR at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues in Ukraine.
During the bombardment, 152 mm and 155 mm caliber guns and 120 mm caliber mortars were used.
A total of 30 attacks took place. Settlements such as Alexandrovka, Gorlovka, Donetsk and Makeyevka were under fire.
One civilian was injured as a result of the bombardment.
On February 11, the DPR Ministry of Emergencies perished In Donetsk as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
