State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov in an interview with a radio station “Moscow Talks” He said that Russian women who gave birth abroad should not rely on social programs in Russia, including receiving maternity capital.

As an example, he cited female citizens of the Russian Federation who left to give birth in Argentina. According to the parliamentarian, they want to “freely secure dual citizenship”.

“Those who go abroad to give birth should not apply for maternity capital. If she travels in Argentina and pays for the birth, let Argentina take care of her. Especially they leave for the sake of citizenship, the child receives citizenship, ”the politician said.

According to her, “the state is interested in helping Russian mothers” and if such a woman “becomes an Argentine mother, let Argentina take care of it.”

According to Milonov, the rejection of leavers in the social programs of the Russian Federation will be an effective measure and reduce the flow of those who want to give birth abroad.

He added that “those who stand out with their low social responsibility in terms of citizenship” are sent to Argentina to give birth.

Reportedly, the Argentine Department of Immigration has begun suspending and revoking the residence permits of Russians who received a residence permit with the birth of a child but did not stay to live in the country. Previously, the republic authorities did not allow the entry of a large number of pregnant Russian women, who are suspected of coming for the purpose of “maternity tourism”. On February 11, they were nevertheless allowed to enter Argentina by court order. More details – in material “socialbites.ca”.
