20 thermal power units still damaged in Ukraine

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that about 20 thermal power plants (TPS) were damaged in the country. He announced this on his social networks.

“In total … almost two dozen thermal power plant power units are in damaged condition,” Shmyhal wrote.

He noted that currently Ukraine has lost 44% of nuclear production, 75% of thermal power plants and 33% of block thermal power plants. There are 12 thermal power plants on the territory of Ukraine, each of which consists of an average of 10 blocks.

The company did not specify which power station the unit is connected to. At the same time, they noted that electricity consumption has increased and the current generation is not enough to fully meet Ukraine’s needs.
