Astrakhan doctors managed to help a 10-year-old boy who seriously injured his hand with a chainsaw. It has been reported press service Astrakhan Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.

According to the information obtained, a 10-year-old boy was admitted to the emergency department of the hospital. Extensive trauma to the soft tissues on the back of the hand was diagnosed. The boy also had an open fracture with displacement of three fingers of his right hand, rupture of the tendons of four fingers and damage to the saphenous vein. This was the result of inept use of the chainsaw. A 10-year-old boy helped his parents with chores in the garden of the house.

The boy needed emergency surgery. It was led by a traumatologist-orthopedist Aliev, he needed the help of an assistant. As a result, the operation was successful. A needle was inserted into the child’s fracture site.

It is reported that the victim stayed in the traumatology department for 2 weeks. He was discharged home for further recovery.
