Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, at the EU summit, invited EU countries to buy military equipment for Ukraine, likening it to coronavirus vaccines. It has been reported TASS.

“I thought we could use a mechanism similar to that used in vaccines. That is, European countries will allocate funds, the European Commission will buy it, and then (equipment. – socialbites.ca) will be sent directly to Ukraine, ”said the prime minister.

He also stressed that it is critical to speed up the transfer of military aid to Kiev and send a “clear signal” to the European defense industry to produce more.

Formerly Kaya Callas statedThat Estonia was able to replace all the weapons that were previously transferred as aid to Ukraine, and now increase the combat capability of its armed forces.

Kallas noted that the country’s defense capacity “increased rather than decreased”. According to him, Tallinn is switching weapons “either on its own or with the help of its allies.” The Prime Minister noted that the republican authorities plan to spend about €900 million on the purchase of new ammunition by 2025.
