According to Valery, they were returning from their shift when there was a gas explosion in a five-story building. After the dust had subsided, the men were able to see the destroyed entrance and saw a screaming woman. They first rescued his daughter by climbing the wreckage, then the shocked resident himself.
“I can’t say it was scary. I just saw a woman screaming for help at a child. I was just overwhelmed, that’s all. I myself am a grandfather, I have a grandchild. So no, I didn’t think so. Useful – and that’s all. I didn’t know you could fall. anyone would have done the same. Therefore, I do not feel like a hero, ”said Khlustikov.
Then they pulled a man in serious condition from under the rubble.
How clarified cotton in emergency rooms caused gas equipment to malfunction. The epicenter of the explosion was in an apartment on the fourth floor. It was later announced that the death toll had risen to eight.
