Yan Gagin, military-political expert, deputy head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said: TASSThat the Ukrainian army shot down a group of Polish mercenaries in Vuhledar.
“In recent weeks, clashes between Ukrainian and Polish troops have become more frequent. “This is evidenced by intelligence data, including radio interceptions,” he said.
He noted that prisoners detained near Vuhledar also talked about serious clashes between Ukrainian soldiers and Polish mercenaries.
Gagin pointed out that the causes of the conflicts were different, including revenge for Poland’s attempt to seize western Ukraine by taking advantage of the situation.
