CASC: China launches 14 satellites into orbit using Long March 2D launch vehicle

The People’s Republic of China has successfully launched 14 satellites for various purposes using the Long March 2D launch vehicle. This has been reported area China Space Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

The launch from Taiyuan Cosmodrome in Shanxi Province was recorded at 11:14 am local time (6:14 am Moscow time).

According to CASC, Earth remote sensing satellites Tsilu-2 and Tsilu-3 were also placed in orbit. It is planned to be used for monitoring purposes in agriculture and forestry, resources, environmental protection, disaster prevention and transportation.

For the launch vehicles of the Long March family, this was the 462nd mission.

Previously, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation successfully brought In orbit by the ASO-S Advanced Space Solar Observatory. The launch was made at 02:43 (Moscow time) from the Jiuquan launch site in northwest China’s Gansu province.
