He did this by responding to one of his best friends, who had previously sent him a photo of hummingbirds, one of his favorite birds, on November 7, the day before he disappeared. September 3. Sandra is 32 years old. He celebrates a party on a farm near Ranón airport (Asturias), owned by the family of the guru of the group ‘Agua de Estrellas’, where he attends some retreats and meetings together. It’s a happy day, according to all the testimonies working on the case. Sandra’s family, friends from the theater group come in… about twenty people. One of her friends told the police that Sandra was happy because she saw that it was possible for the two worlds she lived in, the more traditional people and alternatives to come together.
“Vision Mission”
mid September. Sandra participates in a spiritual retreat on a farm located at the foot of the Picos de Europa. They call it “vision seeking”. The Guru and another man, unidentified, named Manuel and said to be from “León or Zamora” in the synopsis, are joined. They spend four days of fasting and silence in a hut. Sandra will later tell a friend that the experience disappointed her and was not what she expected.
end of September. Sandra goes to therapy with a psychologist via video consultation. She tells that she is sad and discouraged again as she was in the fall of last year. The therapist asks: “Are you suicidal?” According to the psychologist, Sandra “naturally” answered “No” clearly and simply.

October 17. He goes to Madrid to see his newborn niece. She is happy talking to a friend and announces that she wants to be “the aunt (presence) there” to take care of the baby.
end of October. At 21, he is talking to a friend on WhatsApp. He is bad. “I’m pretty detached, like it’s costing me everything in life.” Six days later, he persists in this feeling. On October 25, he sent a voice to another friend: “I’m stuck in shit that I really don’t know how to get out of, it’s like I’m stuck in my head.” On the other hand, he writes a letter to another friend showing hope for recovery: “I’m still there, I don’t know, pretty desperate and confused, but I want to believe it will happen.”
By that time, Sandra had already started paying back the 1,200 euros she had lent to another friend in Madrid for ayahuasca sessions. By the time she disappeared, she had already paid off half of that debt with Bizum’s weekly payments.
early November. On the 1st of the month, Sandra tells a friend in Gijón that she has coffee with her that it’s hard for her to perform nearly all daily activities, like washing the washing machine or replying to mobile messages. It doesn’t seem to exist. She goes to theater classes on the 3rd. On the same day, she talks to a friend of hers for two hours, realizing that she is upset. That afternoon, she sends a message to another friend, in which she admits she is not well, but expresses hope: “I have the means to deal with this feeling,” she writes, implying that she is “sorry.” On November 4, Sandra has her last session with the psychologist, it continues as normal. They are called for a new session on 11 November.
The next day, Sandra goes to walk along the Peñafrancia river path at the foot of GIjón with a friend. That same day, she wrote a message to a friend in which she explained she was “pretty desperate”.
6 November. He is on the phone with his mother. Three days later, they agree to talk again on Wednesday, November 9th. He also talks to a friend who has a birthday on November 20th. To celebrate, they agree to dine together that day. He writes to another friend: “I guess I’ll have to do something because I’m sinking more and more.” He goes to a friend’s house to dance that afternoon.

7 November That night, he talks to the same friend who suggested he go out and play sports. Sandra agrees and they meet on Wednesday, 9th. Her friend sends her a picture of one of her favorite animals, hummingbirds. Sandra responds by sending a picture of a heart. It will be the last message you send from your phone.
8 November. Security cameras in the parking lot of her house recorded Sandra getting into her car at 3:23 p.m. Three minutes later, she leaves the car alone. At 3:47 p.m., a camera from a supermarket near Luanco (Asturias) catches him in the direction of the road to Cabo Peñas. His car will be there days later.
Sandra’s cell phone stopped signaling in the Cabo Peñas area at 5:52 pm that afternoon.
November 9 A few fishermen who come to the area to collect mussels see three cars parked side by side at half past seven in the morning. They don’t know how to determine if it’s on November 7, 8 or 9. Had it been the last day, one of the cars would have been Sandra’s and the other two would have been the stranger’s. Sandra’s family, lawyer and SOS Desaparecidos insist that this piece be investigated in case Sandra wasn’t alone last night.
