In 2023, about 200 scientific organizations will receive grants in the amount of 15.5 billion rubles to raise the instrumentation base. This was reported to socialbites.ca by the Ministry of Education and Science.

“The government, within the framework of the national project of Sciences and Universities, plans to provide this year a grant of 15.5 billion rubles, 3.7 billion more than last year, to raise the instrument base. About 200 scientific organizations in various parts of the country will be able to benefit from federal funds. One of the prerequisites is the purchase of Russian-made equipment. “The new equipment will allow Russian scientists to conduct advanced research and achieve scientific results aimed at the scientific and technological development of Russia,” he said.

In 2021, the amount of financing amounted to 8 billion rubles, in 2022 – 11.8 billion rubles. A total of 202 grant applications were made in 2023. Each organization had to provide a set of mandatory documents, including a program for updating the instrument base, as well as a rationale for the need for scientific and laboratory instruments or equipment.

The largest grant amount amounted to 567.5 million 454 million rubles. Their recipient was Moscow State University named after MV. Lomonosov and PN Lebedev Institute of Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In addition, large grants of 340.5 million 227 million rubles will be provided to 23 organizations from 11 regions of Russia.
