On the night of January 8 in the Orenburg region, several tents with belongings of military personnel burned down. TV channel reported REN TV citing a knowledgeable source.
According to the channel, a fire broke out in one of the storage areas due to a violation of fire safety requirements.
“According to preliminary data, the fireman on duty did not notice that the stovepipe was touching the fabric of the tent,” the source said.
The source said the area where the fire broke out was 50 square meters. He added that no one died as a result of the incident, and that the soldiers’ property and personal belongings were burned.
A similar event in December dead in the village of Sovetsky on the Crimean peninsula, where the barracks caught fire. The first reason was the careless handling of the fire. According to local media, two soldiers were injured in the incident and 200 people were placed in another barracks.
