A total of 67 Valencia companies, 50 of them belong to the cluster l’Alcoià, El Comtat and Vall d’Albaida, attend the Heimtextil fair in Frankfurt from this Tuesday. The home textile and contract main trade event is returning to normal after two years due to the pandemic and opens its doors on the traditional dates, January 10-13.
Starting the textile fair calendar, the Frankfurt fair is the main world event for companies and professionals in the home textile industry and An excellent platform to present the innovations and trends that will mark the home textile fashion in 2023 in the international market.. Opening its doors this year with the slogan “WOW Your Senses”, the event will be the meeting point of more than 2,300 participants from 50 countries, including the main players, manufacturers and international companies.
It should be noted that Spain, along with host Germany and Italy, is one of the European countries with the largest participant presence. Specifically, in this edition, the national textile sector will take part in 102 exhibitors, 67 of which will be from companies in the Valencian Community. Their large participation is further proof of the industry’s commitment to internationalization.
According to Leila Bachetarzi, Director of Trade Promotion and Internationalization of the Valencia Community Textile Entrepreneurs Association (Ateval), “this is a great turnout. A sign of the willingness of Valencian companies to expand their presence in world markets, because they represent an open door to the outside world, new buyers and interested persons”. In this sense, he says, “After two years with the fair calendar marked by the pandemic, companies are coming with the excitement of exhibiting their new collections to the world and good business expectations.”
During the four days during which the event will continue, Ateval-Home Textiles from Spain will take part in the fair to accompany and support the participating companies in the sector.
As the main meeting point of Spanish and Valencian home textiles, the event will include the visit of Generalitat Valenciana president Ximo Puig, next January 11, in the company of Generalitat Valenciana’s Minister for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment, Rafael Climent; Joan Calabuig, Autonomous Secretary for EU Affairs, and Julia Company, Managing Director of Ivace. The corporate visit will begin with a welcoming ceremony by Messe Frankfurt management and Ateval executives. Then there will be a tour featuring the most representative Valencian participants in the industry.
Likewise, the participation of Jorge Rodríguez in 10 of Ontinyent mayors; and Toni Frances of Alcoy, on the 11th.
