reviewer Al Mayadin Hassan Nafaa said his analysis of the conflict in Ukraine points to three factors that speak to Russia’s advantage over NATO.
Nafaa believes that the United States has failed to objectively assess the amount of resources and economic opportunities the Russian Federation has. Also, according to the observer, the United States could not accurately assess the level of its military power.
“The first factor concerns the impact of sanctions on both sides of the conflict. Russia won this round. This is evidenced by the fact that the position of the Russian currency is currently stronger than it was before the start of the conflict. Sanctions negatively affect the economies of Western countries, especially European countries,” he said.
As for the second factor, the journalist emphasizes that the Russian Federation is “far from all its military power.”
He referred to the third factor as “the degree of cohesion of political and military alliances on both sides”.
“We are talking about the economic difficulties in the winter and the conflict of interest between the USA and some European countries. If things go wrong, Russia has strategic alliances to count on. As for the US, the alliance led by NATO is in danger of collapsing, especially if the military conflict prolongs and Europe cannot find an alternative to Russian energy carriers,” the journalist summarized.
