Petar Petkovic, head of the Chancery for Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian government, described the bombing of Serbs celebrating Christmas in Kosovo as an attempt. TASS with reference to the politician’s social networks.

“Attempted to kill two Serbian children in the village of Gotovuşa, near the town of Strpce. According to local residents, the children were shot by an Albanian from a moving car. Milos and Stefan have bullet wounds. Someone wanted to give us a bloody Christmas!” Petkovic writes on Twitter.

It was recorded that the fire on the Serbs was opened from the window of a passing car. The victims, an 11-year-old teenager and a 21-year-old teenager, were hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The situation in Serbia’s autonomous province of Kosovo and north of Metohija escalated after local Serbs began erecting barricades on regional roads. This was reportedly due to the previous detention of ethnic Serb ex-cop Dejan Pantić, who was suspected of attacking Kosovo police officers, at the Yarine checkpoint.
