In the East Kazakhstan region, rescuers evacuated 12 Russians caught in a snow puddle on the highway. It has been reported press office regional emergency service.

According to the agency, people were caught due to bad weather on the highway “Ust-Kamenogorsk-Shemonaikha-Russian Border” of republican significance. Among the 12 Russian citizens there were two children.

All of the survivors were placed in a hotel in the city of Shemonaikha. The authorities provided them with food and warmth.

The ministry added that 15 roads remained closed due to bad weather conditions in the region.

Chimgan is about 80 km from Tashkent.
