Travel planning service OneTwoTrip learned from its clients how they saw their dream trip. For the majority, it turned out to be an active holiday in a warm country near the sea with loved ones. “socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.
Therefore, almost unanimously, respondents agreed with the airplane as the ideal means of transportation best used for a trip: it was chosen by 91.2% of respondents, and the remaining 8.8% are ready to travel by train. The majority, 79.9%, fly to hot countries, cold and snow attract only a fifth (20.1%).
Almost the same percentage (71.8%) wanted to travel with their family or spouse, while 28.2% stated that they would rest with their friends. Between megacities and seclusion, for many the choice is clear: 71% will go to a quiet place with no people, the rest will prefer noisy cities.
Interestingly, the majority of Russians (69.4%) expressed a desire to go on a dream trip abroad, and only 30.6% of tourists chose a trip around the country. Many people want to stay in hotels (67% of respondents responded this way) and only a third of respondents prefer apartments.
For 60.3% of travelers, the ideal vacation should be close to the sea and 39.7% think more should be close to the mountains. Just over half of the respondents (57.1%) prefer active leisure, and 42.9% agree that it would be better to rest calmly and unhurriedly. Opinions about the duration of the trip are almost evenly divided: 50.6% want a long vacation of 2-3 weeks, and 49.4% say 7 days will be enough for them.
