According to preliminary data, in October 2022, a Muscovite saw an advertisement for the exchange, which allegedly earned people large sums. He signed up for the app and transferred $150 to him. After that, a man who introduced himself as the betting expert Viktor Gontarev contacted him. The unknown person said that if he transferred more money, it would help the woman earn money.
A Muscovite managed to earn 10 dollars in a few days. However, he read the comments on the stock market and realized that he could not withdraw his money. Then he decided to promise Viktor Gontarev that he would transfer more money if he managed to get $160. After some time, the man agreed and transferred the specified amount. Thereupon, the woman deleted the app and blocked the scammers’ calls. She also wrote a statement to the police.
