I was born in Madrid, as I could be anywhere else. It was Monday, January 18. And I think that gave it character. Noon is the time when life develops at its maximum intensity. In the mid-sixties, a time of revolutionary change. It’s starting to be felt by a few people, at least in Spain.
In many cases I have made various trades combining them with each other. Doubling shifts, working up to 24 hours straight (almost I still do now). From agricultural forage to shopkeeper. In the streets of Madrid, through a reporter, a transporter, an administrator, a journalist in print and radio, a teacher, an adult educator, a proofreader, a child watcher… An educator and even a librarian during his military service.
Since life is a great theatre, even I am an actor’s apprentice. Although in reality my profession is an observer.
Both in life and – after such an eventful career, I think I can confirm – I graduated from the Faculty of Informatics in the city where I was born. I completed my academic education with a doctorate that I am proud of, with the help of my wife and partner Nuria, as in everything for more than thirty years.
I am opening another chapter in my curriculum as a fiction writer with ‘Descendants of Kabul’. And since I have a whole life ahead of me, I believe many more pages will be added to this personal book that continues to grow thanks to all the experiences that come my way. The news that a long-distance runner I’m proud of has completed nine marathons with a length of 42,195 kilometers. One behind the other.
