Roscosmos signed several additional agreements with the US space agency NASA last year, including training US astronauts for crossover flights and training Russian cosmonauts for extravehicular activities on the US section of the International Space Station (ISS). In addition, according to previously signed contracts, Roscosmos continued to provide engineering services to support the Zarya functional cargo block on the ISS.
In addition, Roscosmos and the American agency agreed to support NASA personnel and organize the work of their representatives at the Baikonur cosmodrome so that the cargo can be placed on the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft and launched into orbit. The agreements also stipulate the organization of pre-launch activities during the launch of the Progress MS-21 spacecraft.
On July 15, 2022, Roskosmos announced the signing of an agreement on joint crossover flights of cosmonauts from the Russian Federation and the USA to the ISS.
