According to the publication, Sergeant Cynthia Ramirez completed a tank artillery course in early December and became part of the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division.
Before that, the girl served as a driver, loader operator and shooter. The publication states that the appointment of Ramirez is another step towards the gender integration of women in the combat units of the American army.
